Traditional Deodorants and Antiperspirant Dangers

Traditional Deodorants and Antiperspirants

- Contain ingredients known to be hazardous to good health

Antiperspirants

- Use aluminum to get the body to stop sweating (Sweating is natural: Releases toxins, impurities, disperses pheromones and keeps your body cool)

- Links have been found between the aluminum in antiperspirants and Alzheimer's disease and breast cancer.

Deodorants

- Contain propylene glycol, which is also the main agent in antifreeze.

- The Material Safety Data Sheet warns users to avoid skin contact with liquid propylene glycol, because it is a skin irritant that can cause liver and kidney damage

Coconut Oil as Deodorant

Why

- Works Great
- The lauric acid in coconut oil kills odor-causing bacteria
- The scent of coconut oil is very light

How

- Dab a tiny bit of coconut oil on your finger and rub it on your underarms
- Apply baking soda on top with a makeup brush to stabilize it from getting oil on your clothes (It has never left a stain on my clothes)
